“It’s Coming Home DELAYED. Expected arrival 2022. You made us proud England.” This was the message from East Midlands trains to England Football team after their shock elimination from the World Cup at the hands of Croatia on 11 July. The Luzhniki stadium hosted yet another historical game between the two European sides. Despite being knocked out of the competition, spirits are still high all over England.

Across the East Midlands trains network, screen showed yesterday that almost every train was running through the #ItsComingHome stop. Take a look on the video below.
After 1990, this was the first semifinal appearance of England in World Cup. What the young squad of England did got huge appreciations from fans. Even after elimination, England fans were spotted shouting “Don’t look back” in anger.
England had the lead in the first half after a brilliant free kick goal from Kieran Trippier in the 5th minute. The lead was equalized by Ivan Perisic who scored 4th World Cup goal. Perisic is now 2 goals away from being the top Croatian goal scorer in World Cup.
England are not coming home actually as they will now play third place play-off match against Belgium on 14 July at the Saint Petersburg. Their captain Harry Kane is currently the top goal scorer of 2018 World Cup.
