The Croatian midfielder maestro Ivan Rakitic and his national side are just one win away from becoming the new World Champions. He claimed that he will have the World Cup tattooed on his forehead if Croatia wins the final against France on 15 July. He also believes that hundreds of millions will be supporting Croatia when they meet France at the Luzhniki Stadium in Russia. It’s not just Croatia citizens, Football fans from around the World Cup are likely to support the underdogs.
Ivan Rakitic: I’d have to ask my wife to give green light
Ivan Rakitic is about to play 71st game of the season, most by any other player. After yet another successful season at Barcelona, the Croatian is eyeing the biggest trophy of the most popular sport.
He was asked whether he had any space left on his arms for a World Cup tattoo. He said
“No but I have space on my forehead. God willing, I’d sacrifice my forehead for a tattoo.”
Along with a midfield master, he is a great husband also who takes permissions from his wife to do such strange things. He further said
“I have plenty of space there – although I’d have to ask my wife to give the green light for such an idea.”

Rakitic also said that he’d retire if Croatia win the first ever World Cup trophy. The 30 years old footballer said
“I would definitely leave my football boots behind forever on Monday if that was the price I had to pay to win for my country.”
Croatia will play France in the World Cup 2018 final on 15 July 2018. This is the first ever appearance of The Blazers in the competition, while France are playing it for the third time.
