For the first time in the history of Croatian Football, the national team has reached the final of World Cup and one of the called player won’t be part of it. Croatia striker Nikola Kalinic was sent home after the first game against Nigeria as the striker refused to come in as a substitute in the group stage. He cited a back problem as the reason why he wanted to stay on the bench, but he stayed away from the whole tournament then.

You might be wonder Croatian coach took harsh decision but you need to think twice. Croatian coach Dalic said
“Kalinic was warming up and was supposed to come on in the second half. However, he then stated that he wasn’t ready to come on due to a back issue. The same thing happened during the Brazil friendly in England, as well as before the practice session on Sunday.”
“I have calmly accepted that, and since I need my players fit and ready to play, I have made the decision.”
The Croatian manager refused him for the first time but had to take the decision during the World Cup. After-all he’s a coach who is responsible for whatever happens.
