The Serbian referee Milorad Mažić has been selected as the main referee of Real Madrid vs Liverpool final match of UEFA Champions League 2017-18. It is now officially announced by the European Governing body. He has been refereeing the domestic and International matches since 2013 and is known as an elite referee. Milorad Mažić was also in charge as the main referee during FIFA World Cup 2014, UEFA Euro 2016, and FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. He is again picked up as an official for the Russia World Cup scheduled for June this year.

In 2009, he became the FIFA referee and officiated a number of matches in UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. He has refereed in 12 league matches of the 2006-07 season. His first international match was a 2010 World Cup qualifier between Finland and Wales in Helsinki. Milorad Mažić first appeared in the UEFA Champions League match at the Camp Nou between Barcelona and Spartak match.
