Morocco has announced their 23 players who will go to Russia for the finals of FIFA World Cup 2018. The squad is highly dominated by the players from the European league. Only three players are listed from the domestic league. Real Madrid’s defender Achraf Hakimi, Ajax’s midfielder Hakim Ziyech and Juventus defender Mehdi Benatia also booked their places in the squad roster. The nation is making comeback to the biggest competition after 20 years of absence and is featured with top giants of Europe in the group stage.
For the last time, Morocco appeared in 1998 edition in which they were knocked out in the group stage. Their best finish in the competition is round of 16 that they achieved in 1986. The current head coach Herve Renard has shortlisted his best 23 players to face the top teams in Russia.

Morocco Schedule for 2018 World Cup
Team Morocco is in Group B with one time Champions Spain, European Champions Portugal, and Iran. Their first match is against Iran on 15th June 2018 at the Krestovsky Stadium. They’ll face Portugal and Spain on 20 and 25 June respectively.
