Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho has joined Barcelona from Liverpool for £142m. He will be now playing alongside his old team-mate Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. He will be unveiled at the Camp Nou on 8 January 2018 for the presentation. Football Club Barcelona is showing no signs of stopping. They are enjoying a comfortable winning run and also signing players to make it better.
Philippe Coutinho: “I am going to be with my idols”
The 25 years old Brazilian winger admitted his joy at sealing his dream move and the opportunity to win titles. After signing the Spanish club, he said
“I’m very happy, very happy. I have always said that it is a dream that I am living and I am very happy to be here. To be able to play, win titles, make the fans happy… always play with joy.”
“It is incredible to know that I am going to live with idols, players with a lot of history. Footballers like Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets. I am very happy to be able to live together, to be able to learn from them and be able to win together.”
Philippe Coutinho was signed by Liverpool with an agreement of £8.5 from Inter Milan on 26 January 2013. Since then, he played 153 games for Liverpool and scored 41 goals. He is also a member of Brazil National Football team and has made 32 international appearances in which he scored 8 goals.

Coutinho also admitted he feels indebted to the Uruguayan after his initiative to secure the property next to his and make his probable move straight forward.
“He saw that a house next to his became available. He didn’t know I was coming for certain but he liked the idea. It’s a kind gesture. We’ve seen the pictures, the views look amazing. We are in touch all the time and I look forward to seeing the property with my family. I know Luis will help us to feel at home.”
