After exactly 9 years, Real Madrid all time top goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving the club. The Portuguese winger is very close to sign for Serie A giants Juventus this month just before the beginning of new season. After winning back to back individual and club titles, the winger is set to say goodbye to the Madridistas.
Cristiano Ronaldo set to join Juventus
The club have been left shocked by his decision to leave the European Champions to join Italian rivals. After Ronaldo’s linking with Juventus, the club recorded 11% hike in stocks. The move would see the 33-year-old to grab $35m per season at the club until 2022. Juventus sill have to negotiate a fee with Madrid and are expected to have to pay upwards.
Couple of months ago, Cristiano Ronaldo received a standing ovation from Juventus fans during the Champions League game for scoring a stunning bicycle goal that became one of the best goals of the UEFA Champions League.
