UEFA Champions League 2018-19: Group Stage Draw Indian Time, Telecast Channels

Indian date, time and TV telecast channels for the group stage round of UEFA Champions League 2018-19 have been announced. The draw will be held in Monaco on 30 Aug 2018. All 32 qualified teams will get new opponents for the group stage. 26 teams qualified directly via their domestic leagues and remaining 6 teams made it via Champions League play-offs. Which teams have qualified for UCL 2018-19?

Qualified teams: Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bayern Munich, Schalke 04, 1899 Hoffenheim, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Internazionale, Paris Saint Germain, Monaco, Lyon, Lokomotiv Moscow, CSKA Moscow, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Viktoria Plzen.

These teams will be categorized into 4 pots. The first pot will have the defending Champions League, Europa League Winners and 6 League Winners of 6 highest ranked UEFA nations. Remaining 3 pots will have teams based on the UEFA coefficient rankings.

No team can play against club from same nation, with the exact draw procedure to be confirmed before the ceremony.

During the draw ceremony, there will be UEFA award ceremony also. The Union of European Football Association will honor UEFA Men’s player of the year, UEFA Women’s Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the year, Defender of the year, Midfielder of the year and Forward of the Year [2017-18].
